The New Age Traveler World Travel Guide, Provides Information On Vacations In Many Countries and Regions. How to plan your World adventure.
Once celebrated as an island paradise edged with beaches and known for its vibrant culture, Bali’s reputation was damaged by the 2002 and 2005 bombings in which many Western tourists lost their lives. Bali is still officially a danger area but this shouldn’t deter you from visiting what is still a fantastic island. Indonesia’s only Hindu state, Bali has long been a favourite for holidaymakers from around the world thanks to its relaxed atmosphere and friendly locals.
Most people start their Bali experience in Kuta, the island’s main resort. Kuta’s streets are packed with shops, restaurants and tourists - you’ll either love it or you’ll hate it. Nearby Legian is slightly calmer and more upmarket, while the suburb of Oberoi is home to a swathe of popular eateries and bars. Kuta beach is frequented by surfers and can get busy in high season. If you decide to stay in Kuta there are plenty of guest houses, hotels and hostels. Jimbaran Beach a little way down the coast is renowned for its beachfront seafood restaurants where you can enjoy freshly caught snapper and squid as the sun sets.

Overview
Which theme park is the best for me & my family ? This question is very frequent amongst the people living in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania & New Jersey. In this region you have the option to choose among three popular theme parks of the nation. Well there are more less popular parks, but these are the ones where 80% of the people in the Philly region visiting theme parks choose to visit. The preference in choosing amongst these parks vary on the interests but the main factor is not the proximity to these parks, but the quality of rides and the deals & discounts on tickets drive the ultimate decision.
Hershey Park
If you leave in western Philadelphia region and want to experience good theme park fun with some nice roller coasters without driving long distance, then Hershey Park is for you. In addition, last week on May 24 the Boardwalk was opened which adds to the attractions at this park. If you really like the roller coasters, then you should definitely try out the Great Bear. My personal pick is the Stormrunner, but Wild Cat and the Comet are very good coasters. For wooden coaster fans, the Lightning Racer is just made for folks like you. So overall Hershey Park is fun for all but especially for kids. In addition you get to visit the Hershey Chocolate Factory which is just a few minutes walk.
Dorney Park
Dorney Park is the lesser favorite among these three parks. There are not as many high thrill roller coasters that you could compare with Hershey or Six Flags Great Adventure. But if you like water park, then you get the theme park and water park for the price of one. At Six Flags Great Adventure you have to buy a combo ticket or separate purchase to visit both the parks. Steel Force is the top favored ride at the Dorney Park. Hydra, Talon, Thunder Hawk and Lazer are equally good after the Steel Force. Read the rest of this entry »

Traveling to England on an international vacation will leave you with a simply massive list of places to visit if you are going to make the most of your trip.
London will surely be on your agenda but just a few hours outside of London on the stunning south coast is the New Forest National Park , home to the lovable New Forest pony and a must visit location if you are in the South of England.
The Idea for national parks first started in the United States and one of the first national park was Yosemite of course.
Since that time many other countries have adopted this way of protecting and preserving the unspoilt habitats of the world for future generations and for the preservation of endangered species as well.
The New Forest has a few endangered species itself but nothing like the American bald eagle that is now increasing in numbers due thankfully. The New Forests most wildly known species are of course the deer and the lovable little roguish New Forest Pony.
For centuries the forest was the home of common people who were used to grazing their livestock in the forest and on the open heathland. The forest was also a source for food to feed their families, but all that came to an end when the forest was decreed as the Royal hunting grounds, and the New Forest was born.

They say the geographic location and set-up of any place greatly determines the culture, religious beliefs, political ideologies, traditions and other major factors that that certain place possesses. And most often than not, this idea is true.
Take Greece for example. Even during the age of antiquities, this nation has always been defined by its geographic characteristics. Being made up of many islands, Greece has been divided into city-states and towns way back then which functioned individually and independently of their fellow Greek city-states. In fact, there were even a number of recorded fights and clashes between these past Greek cities and towns.
And each city-states seemed to have beliefs, traditions and laws that are unique to themselves. Yet however separate in location these Greek islands may be, the point is that there still remains that intangible but ever present thing that brings them all together and gives them that same air about them that is distinctly Greek.
I have been to Athens, Patras and Crete in the past. And my experience and observations in these modern Greek cities proved to me that somehow, that disjointed and varied character of Greece itself seems to have survived even the 21st century. These three Greek cities do not resemble each other in my memory but rather occupy unique and distinct areas in my remembrance even until now. And just recently, I was able to visit the island of Rhodes in Greece and I found out that this Greek island also offers both that encompassing Greek character as well as a personality and appeal all its own. I’m sure we discovered Puerto Armuelles one of the many times we pored over nautical charts of Panama’s coast looking for that ideal seamount or ledge that would spell “big fish”. Five or six years ago, Panama (and its real estate market) was largely a big question mark. But the fish were a certainty. Just around the corner of Punta Burica was the famous angler’s destination of Golfito, Costa Rica. Since fish don’t really respect borders, the same record breaking catches were bound to be swimming right off the beaches at Limones and Puerto Arumuelles.
A trip to the bookstore netted us one solitary guide from the folks at Lonely Planet and we eagerly sought out a description of the little town that once housed a thriving division of the United Fruit Company’s effort to corner the world’s banana production. At the end of the chapter on Chiriqui Province, there was a passing reference to the bus stop in Puerto Armuelles-the end of the line for public transportation and the jumping off point to make the trek to “Mona Feliz”, an eccentric eco-lodge at the tip of the Burica Peninsula. Years later, friends would bring the new Frommer’s guide to Panama and, searching once again, we found not even a mention of this, one of our favorite spots in the country.

Here is a list of the best places to visit during an African safari tour to Zimbabwe.
The Eastern Highlands:
The eastern border of Zimbabwe has a long range of beautiful rugged mountains running from north to south, covering a distance of about three hundred kilometers. These are known as the Eastern highlands and acts as a natural border with Mozambique.
The Eastern Highlands are different from the gentle rolling landscape near Nyanga or the fierce granite spikes of Chimanimani. The landscape of this place is breathtaking which gives one the feeling that he/she is in Scotland and not Africa. Here you can see many herds of antelopes. You can enjoy spending your time here by golfing, fishing and also riding on horsebacks. You can also make a visit to the Vumba Botanical Gardens. Read the rest of this entry »

The State of Michigan consists of more coastline than any state in the Continental US. The fishing in Michigan cannot be matched to anywhere else in the Mid-West and Michigan also has a fishing charter and resort industry which is truly second to none.

If you are looking for a great place to camp that is quiet, except the sounds of nature this is the place to go. Lake Solano Park is a County owned and operated campground and park located on Pleasents Valley Road just outside of Winters California. The campground is right next to Putah Creek and about 19 miles from Lake Berryessa. The loudest thing you will hear during your stay at this park is the Peafowl.
The campground has a total of ninety-one campsites, fifty are tent sites and forty-one have water and electric for RVs. All of the sites at this campground are beautiful. They are well designed and most have a secluded feeling to them. Some sites are right along the water so you can easily get to the shore for fishing or bird watching. There are several hiking trails around the park for you to enjoy. The Shoreline Trail gives you the feeling of walking through an enchanted forest. Along the trails there are markers telling you what the different types of plants and trees are and a little bit of their history in the area. You do need to watch out for Poison Oak though because it is everywhere. The RV sites are paved, mostly level, and for the most part they have good shade. Read the rest of this entry »
